Jason Dowd

Jason is the founder and a writer for “The Expressionist Magazine”.  He started the publication in 2008 as a means to give artists of all mediums a chance to get exposure, and allow people to appreciate their art.  As an artist himself, he realized that many places around the country have lost the appreciation for art, so his goal for the magazine is to revitalize art awareness and appreciation.  Jason Dowd is an award winning and internationally exhibiting artist.  His series “Dreams, Nightmares, Fears and Fantasy” has gone world wide, landing him in Hong Kong China, San Diego, Macon GA, Tampa, and Arcaida.  He was featured in FOX 13 Good Day Tampa Bay.  In 2008 he was commissioned by the San Diego Voice and Viewpoint to photograph and write about Senator Barack Obama’s only campaign stop to Florida during the 2008 Democratic primary.  Through out his career he’s worked with many musicians in the creative side of the business working on CD covers, band photos and music videos over the span of 8 years. Jason also works as a Publicist for Eclectic Media Productions, and is the owner of his own art and photography studio “Dowd Studios, Inc”.  Jason is the host of “The World of Art” radio and TV show, which his studio produces.
